I am "Royally" excited - about Will and Kate's wedding

Since i'm not an early riser - I have tracked down the Royal Itinerary for the big day - Eastern Standard Time of course... Here is the breakdown - i figure a 6 a.m. wake up will put me just in time for the dress reveal!

5:30 a.m. EST


The bridesmaids and pages will leave the residence of Prince Charles, his wife, Camilla, and Princes William and Harry by car. This home is called the

Clarence House, which is the official royal residence.

5:35 a.m. EST.

The Queen and members of the Royal family leave Buckingham Palace by car.

5:40 a.m. EST.

Prince William and his best man, Prince Harry, along with a few close friends, will leave St. James’ Palace.

5:50 a.m. EST.

Kate Middleton and her father, Michael Middleton, leave Buckingham Palace in a Rolls-Royce Phantom VI. They will pass the Horse Guards Parade, the Cenotaph war memorial, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben before arriving at Westminster Abbey.

6 a.m. EST.

The royal bride, Kate Middleton arrives at Westminster Abbey. The wedding service will be attended by about 2,000 guests and is going to be an hour long.

7 a.m. EST.

Prince William now has a new wife, now known as Princess Catherine. The Prince and Princess will leave Westminster Abbey in a horse-drawn carriage and travel the same route in reverse to Buckingham Palace.

If the weather is fair, Prince William and Princess Kate will ride in a 1902 State Landau, which was specifically built in 1902 for King Edward VII. The newlyweds will make the trip in the glass coach If it rains.

The second and third carriages will carry Prince Harry and Maid of Honor Pippa Middleton, who is the bride’s sister, along with the bridesmaids.

The fourth carriage will carry Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Prince Charles and Camilla and the bride’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton will be in the fifth carriage of this procession.


7:30 a.m. EST.

A champagne reception at Buckingham Palace will be hosted by the Queen for about 660 guests. It will be at this time that the official wedding photographs will be taken.

8:30 a.m. EST.

The Balcony kiss, which is a tradition of Royal Weddings, will take place. Prince William and Princess Catherine appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace balcony and will kiss for the cameras. A flyover by William's Royal Air Force colleagues will also take place while the Prince and Princess are on the balcony.

10:30 a.m. EST.

The Royal Wedding reception ends.



2 p.m. EST.

An exclusive dinner at Buckingham Palace will take place for about 300 close friends and relatives.
