Photo Session in a Field of Pink

Kristen and Kyle in the only field "somewhere" in South Florida...

I saw it while I was driving one day and jotted down the approx. location.
Actually it was blocked off with barricades, so I believe it is going to become a strip mall really soon. The sun broke through the clouds just perfectly to light up the tall grass in the background.

On Location Child Photography

Most mom’s dread coming to a portrait session. Purchasing all matching outfits for kiddies, lining up hair cuts, arranging the perfect time of day in between lunch and just after nap... but don't mess the hair... please please no meltdowns….

Having a professional on location photographer come to your home can ease a lot of the tension mom builds up in arranging a photo session.

Photographing you children in a relaxed environment is the perfect recipe for natural and playful smiles!

I am an on-location photographer and specialize in creative and non- traditional portraiture. My focus is to capture your child’s natural beauty in a playful environment.
This precious little Shayna is a perfect example of that! She is a sweet little girl that I photographed in the comfort of her familiar surroundings. We played peek –a-boo with the curtain for some great window lighting… blew bubbles… and had fun with Elmo… it was creative session and we captured some really great expressions.

How Much Are Your Wedding Memories Worth?

I recently read a quote at "The Knot" website regarding Wedding Photography fees.

" On a budget? If you're willing, ask a trusted friend who has a quality digital camera and a good eye." Siobhan Adcock

Why would anyone recommend " a friend with a good eye" to capture brides precious memories? What friend wants to be sweating it out on their friends wedding day?

The photography is the most important part of the wedding. It is the only thing left after the wedding. What bride doesn't want to be flipping through her album with her girlfriends remembering all those great moments?!?

One option to cutting cost for the wedding photography:

See if your photographer will put you on a payment plan. If you book your wedding photographer a year in advance - this will give you at least 14 months to make the payments. You can make the initial deposit, then small payments monthly and the final payment two months after the wedding day - upon delivery of your final album.

I had a crying bride sitting in my office just last week. She wanted to cut costs of her wedding day so decided to have a family friend photograph her wedding day. She is still crying 1 year later with no album and horrible images. Not only is she paying me to fix her images, design a digital wedding album but we had to do schedule a re-shoot of all the detail shots that were missed. She had spent weeks of preparation on menu's and programs that she had designed just for her special day... none of which was captured by this photographer.

Brides need to know that the photography is first and foremost the most important part of their day.

Every bride's pictures should be considered an investment. The wedding album is an heirloom that will be passed down to the next generation.

Here are some valuable suggestions for choosing a wedding photographer:

Yes, price is a determining factor, however there are other considerations. Consider the quality of the photographer. There is a difference between McDonald's and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Both of which will give you a meal but the difference if obvious.

QUALITY:
1. A professional photographer will spend hours of work on photoshop editing your images to create works of art. A low budget photographer will give you a handful of prints.

2. A caring photographer will use various professional labs depending on the needs of the client. This is important so that the prints will never fade in time. Some "professionals" use low quality printing labs.

3. Look for a photographer that will work with you personally. One that doesn't delegate the consults or the shooting to other staff members.

COMPETENCY:

1. What is their style?

2. Take into consideration their talent, experience, and techniques.

3. What type of equipment and do they have backup equipment?

An artist's style of shooting, their personality and compency are the main determining factors that will help you make your decision.

THEN, you can shop prices and packages. After the value of the photographer is determined your choice will then be easy!
